Putting Kingussie on the map

Putting Kingussie on the map

At the start of another year of outdoor activities Kingussie residents will have noticed the new "Cycling around Kingussie" information boards which have gone up this week on King Street and in front of the Court House on High Street.
Showcasing a number of the popular road routes and mountain bike tracks in the local area they do a great job of highlighting the cycle options available.
The CFK team have selected 10 routes in all and have taken in the classic rides to Laggan, Dalwhinnie, Loch an Eilean as well as mountain bike trails around Loch Gynack and Glen Feshie.

Kingussie has also recently been put on the map when Go Outdoors published their most recent guide "10 Cairngorms Walking Routes".  The featured route is from Kingussie to Newtonmore via Loch Gynack, which is quite rightly described as "a must-see part of the Cairngorms National Park".
Of course the KCDC have been working on Kingussie's paths network for some time and after all the efforts and upgrading work in recent years the added attention is well deserved.
