10 years of the Food on Film Festival
This year's Food on Film Festival was another successful event, drew in the crowds and finished up on the Saturday evening with a masked ceilidh. The weekend started off on Friday evening at the Iona Gallery with a sold out showing of "I am Love" starring Tilda Swinton. On Saturday the Badenoch Centre was once again transformed into a busy exhibition hall filled with a wonderful variety of food stalls, exhibitions, stage demonstrations and the famous bread competition. Saturday evening saw ceilidh band Tweed entertain a healthy crowd and with the Sunday matinee lunch and showing of "Elisabeth David: a Life in Recipes" at the Duke of Gordon Hotel the festival drew to a close.
This was the 10th year the unique blend of film with a food theme has featured highly on the local calendar and as events drew to a close organiser Lydie Bocquillon and her festival co-founder Helen Graham announced that after 10 years the festival was going to enjoy an "interval".
