Friday 4th April

10am - 4pm  The Kingussie Story, Exhibition – Talla Nan Ros

11am - Dr Simon Green, Royal Commission Ancient and Historic Monuments – Architectural Walk of Kingussie, meet at The Fountain, Station Square, Kingussie.

1.30pm - Brian Ford, Historic Scotland, Guided Walk of Ruthven Barracks. Meet at Ruthven Barracks Car Park

2.30pm - Catherine Vis Christie, RSPB – “From Past to Present” - the cultural and natural heritage of Insh Marshes” – A “Talk on the Move”. Meet RSPB reserve car park half mile beyond Ruthven Barracks. Further details contact reserve office 01540 661518. A 2 mile circular walk and talk

7.30pm - Back by popular demand “The Best Laid Plans .... and more” An evening of Kingussie’s heritage with music. Talla Nan Ros. Hosted by Talla Nan Ros Committee

Saturday 5th April

10am-4pm Kingussie Story and Exhibition. Coffee and Shortbread available by Kingussie Parish Church in aid of the Church Organ Restoration Fund

11am Presentation by Christopher Halliday, Highland Archives “Digging up your roots!” Talla Nan Ros

2.30pm “Meet the Chieftain” at Kingussie v Kyles Athletic Shinty Match. The Dell. Joe Taylor, the man in the fore and aft hat, Chieftain of Kingussie Camanachd, will answer your questions and explain the rules of this iconic Highland game.

Sunday 6th April

6pm Insh Village Church – Heritage Church Service. Donald Barr, great grandson of the 1st preacher in Insh Village Church will read the lesson wearing his great grandfather’s plaid, woven for him on behalf of the congregation to protect him on his walk from Newtonmore each Sunday to preach in Insh Village Church.
