Learn techniques to make a variety of chocolates & discover the science and history behind chocolate
Over 5 evenings, Gemma will take you through the basics of chocolate making.
Each evening you will create a different style of chocolate, as well as get handy tips so you can recreate them at home.
Discover the science behind chocolate and learn a little about its history.
In this course you will learn:
- Background to chocolate, including history, science, how to taste
- Tempering chocolate
- Making moulded chocolates
- Making filled chocolates
- Making truffles
Due to the nature of this course please let us know
Any allergies you have (in particular soya and nuts)
Any mobility impairments or other disabilities
If you are dairy free (it is possible to use different recipies)
What to bring:
Box/Bag to take chocolates home
Optional things to bring:
Mug for tea/coffee
Notebook & pen
Alba Chocolate, Newtonmore
An interest in chocolate & willingness to get messy!
Please be aware that you will be standing for most of the course. Please get in touch to discuss requirements if you difficulty standing/moving for long periods.
