When using computers people can feel hesitant about a number of things:
- Worrying about losing files and photos
- Which security software should you be using?
- Where is it safe to shop online?
- Is social media safe to use?
- What are viruses and back ups?
If any of these questions have occured to you, or if you have more questions about using your computer or the internet safely - the Cairngorms Computer Confidence is for you.
Each session will include an introduction to the topic and then students will be given tasks and activites to work on together.
The first session will be an overview of computer safety, looking at security software and the best ways to protect your files, yourself and your computer.
In the following four sessions you will be able to select from a range of topics - all containing tips and tricks onsafe and secure computer use. The group will be able to pick those which suit their needs and interests.
