This interesting and unusual property to accommodate 4 people was originally a rural school, built about 1830. It has now been completely reconstructed internally while keeping the original exterior.

The cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Insh in the valley of the River Spey with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Monadhliath Mountains to the west.

The cottage adjoins the famous RSPB Insh Marshes Bird Reserve.

The area is very scenic and perfect for walking.

There are several good golf courses nearby.

Fishing available.

Three miles from the beautiful Loch Insh - a haven for watersports enthusiasts.

Accommodation and facilities include:

• large sitting/dining room with fully fitted kitchen in a large alcove

• washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave

• open log fire in sitting room (logs provided)

• one twin-bedded room with en-suite shower room

• one twin-bedded room with bathroom adjacent

• bed linen provided

April and October £220 plus electricity

May and September £270 plus electricity

June £300 plus electricity

July and August £330 plus electricity

Christmas and New Year £350 per week plus electricity
