NHS pharmacy services in the Highland area
Some of the services we provide are:
LIVING AIDS – We stock or can obtain within 48 hours, products ranging from
long-handled toe nail scissors, to bath seats, to wheelchairs.
OXYGEN THERAPY – We supply oxygen equipment prescribed by the doctor. This
enables patients to stay at home who would normally have to be kept in
hospital. We can provide a full support service to any holidaymaker visiting
the area and deliver oxygen to your hotel.
NEBULISERS – We can supply nebulising equipment for patients who have asthma or breathing problems. Nebulisers are not available on the NHS and there is a charge for this equipment.
MEDICINE MANAGEMENT – In consultation with your doctor, we can offer a weekly
dossette box containing daily doses of medication. This can assist either
patients or carers in making sure that the correct medicine is taken at the
right time and on the correct days.
REPEAT PRESCRIBING – Requests for repeat prescriptions should be made to the
surgery. 48 hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions. Requests made
before 11.00 am on a weekday should be ready for collection 48 hours later.

FIRST AID – We carry a range of items for the home but can also supply offices, shop and factories.
OUT OF HOURS – The on-call doctor will contact the pharmacist if urgent medication is required.
