The premier area around Cairngorm is only 30 minutes away and offers the best range of activities for all abilities. High level activities, during the winter months, should only be approached with quality equipment/clothing, planning and sound experience or tuition.

The Lochs of Badenoch provide water sports enthusiasts with a choice of sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and rowing. Loch Insh is about 5 miles north of Kingussie and Loch Morlich at the foot of the Cairngorms both provide boat hire and full instruction packages.
